Review: Old Navy Skirted Leggings

Old Navy Women's Plus Active Skirted Leggings

These are ankle length leggings with an attached skirt. Overall I like these leggings, but I do have some things that I wish were different.

What I like:
  • The skirt is a nice length. It's not so long that the look isn't cute, but it's long enough to cover my butt and not get in the way
  • The skirt is attached at the waist, but not to the sides of the leggings. This means that it can move around like a real skirt worn over leggings would. It doesn't look like they come together, which means you could translate this activewear item into a regular outfit item with the right styling.
  • The waistband doesn't roll down
  • The ruching on the sides is a nice little added detail that gives a little more interest to what is a very basic item of clothing
  • The material is thin and doesn't feel tight and heavy
What I don't like:
  • They are ankle length and the ankle parts of the leggings are very baggy. I have to wear them rolled up to capri length or with tall socks pulled up over them or else they look crazy
  • They are a little expensive for the quality. For $33 I would expect a sturdier feel to them and a cotten gusset
  • They only come in black
The verdict?
I'd buy them again...and I expect I'll need to since they probably won't hold up a long time.

  1. It such a cool thing! I have been looking for good leggings for my dance sessions and I think I have found a really good one. I am glad you shared it here. I would love to buy it for myself. It is actually looking very nice and I am sure it will help in hiding the garment line underneath as well. This thing is practical!
